Day 1 Windhoek to Swakopmund

Guests will be picked up from their accommodation in Central Windhoek and taken to the departure point for a tour briefing.

Departing to the coast we stop off at Walvis Bay lagoon for a light lunch. Here guests could see an array of wetland birds including flamingos and pelicans.

Arriving in Swakopmund mid-afternoon guests will have time to explore the town. Dinner is on your own expense this evening. Your guide will be sure to recommend several exceptional restaurants in town to choose from. (Lunch included)

Day 2 Swakopmund to Sesriem area

This morning there will be time for guests to partake in some of the activities that Swakopmund has become famous for. Choose between quad biking the Namib dunes, sandboarding in the desert, kayaking on the Walvis Bay lagoon with seals or sky diving. Alternately visit the local museum.

Departing Swakopmund around midday we head through the Kuiseb Pass and Naukluft to our destination near the entrance gate to the Sossusvlei.

We overnight at Desert Camp in twin en-suite chalets. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 3 Desert Camp near Sesriem

Today we explore Sossusvlei. We depart early to enter the park at sunrise. The drive to Sossusvlei is spectacular – on both sides of the roads the towering red dues line the way.

From the parking area, we jump on board a 4×4 vehicle to get into Sossusvlei. Here we explore the unique area on foot. We visit Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. Deadvlei is famous for the ancient camel thorn trees contrasting the white clay and red sand dunes.

Heading back to the lodge we will stop off at the famous Dune 45 where guests can climb the dune or just take in the spectacle.

This afternoon we will visit Sesriem Canyon close to the lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and dinner included)

Day 4 Sesriem to Windhoek
