The Southern region of Namibia is home to some of the most striking landscapes that can be found in the country. The region can boast that is spans two different deserts: The Kalahari and The Namib desert, which are both found in this area of Namibia. Some of the major attractions in the area include: Sesriem Canyon, Fish River Canyon, Sossusvlei, Lake Oanab Dam, Ai-Ais Hotsprings, Hardap Game Reserve, Kolmanskop and the Quiver Tree Forest.
The Namib Naukluft Park provides visitors a glimpse of the famous towering dunes of Sossusvlei, the Sesriem Canyon and the unique rock formations of the Naukluft mountains. The Fish River Canyon Park incorporates the Fish River Canyon, the Ai-Ais Hotsprings and the Hans Mountains. At 160km long and 27km wide – Fish River Canyon is the second biggest in Africa. The Southern region of Namibia is full of unique experiences and definitely shouldn’t be missed.
