Onkoshi

Onkoshi

Onkoshi Camp can be found on the very edge of the park’s famous salt pan. Previously guests were transferred to the camp from Namutoni. But now, the road has been upgraded that all vehicles can easily access the camp.

The view over the pan offers some of the best sunrise and sunset views in the entire country, and the vast expanses below are often bathed in Namibia’s characteristic orange hues in the mornings and evenings. Huge numbers of flamingos call the pan home when it has water, and the salt pan’s emptiness and open space contrasts the surrounding bush in this north-eastern section of the park.

Onkoshi is a low impact camp and all structures are found on wooden stilts and aim to be as environmentally friendly as possible. This is a unique and exclusive camp that offers the essential Etosha experience.
