Camp Chobe

Only 4 km from the quite Ngoma border post between Namibia and Botswana, Camp Chobe is the perfect spot for travellers who on a budget conscious safari but are still looking for a bit of luxury. Located on the Namibian side of the Chobe Plains, and separated from Botswana by the Chobe River – Camp Chobe offers some of the best views over the plains below.

Its location makes it an ideal stopover for visitors that plan on going up to Victoria Falls, Bwabwata National Park, the Okavango Delta and other attractions further North. Its proximity to the Chobe National Park means that guests can often see vast numbers of elephants, rare sightings of elusive puku and Chobe bushbuck. Buffalo and lions are also seen fairly regularly.

Elevated decking allows guests to have prime views over the daily happenings on the floodplains below. Electricity is supplied by a generator and solar power and guests can enjoy their dinners in the open and inviting dining room or beside the fire pit under the stars outside.


  • Tented Chalets: All of the tented chalets have riverside views onto the Chobe River – offering exciting opportunities for game viewing. Each chalet has an en-suite bathroom and inside as well as outside showers. The structures are built from canvas and mopane and each chalet has a wonderful private deck, comfortable beds and mosquito nets.
